Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, PDF, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

  • Format of the Research Paper: After the acceptance, authors will require to make the manuscript as per the attached format.

  • The originality of the Work: As per our policy, VFAST considers only original papers that have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another conference/journal. In addition, if authors have used their own previously published work or work under review as a basis for their manuscript, they are required to cite the previous work and indicate how the manuscript presents novel contributions beyond those of the previous work. For sequence similarity the Turnitin software shall be used, the required threshold should be less than 20% and the individual rate should be less than 5%.
  • VTSE is an open-access journal with publishing fees of Rs. 35000 for Pakistani authors and 350 USD for international authors

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Authors are required to use the official LaTeX template (LATEX Template ) for manuscript preparation. The template ensures consistency in formatting, structure, and reference style.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Template Usage: Manuscripts must be formatted using the provided LaTeX template.
  2. File Submission: Submit the .tex file along with all necessary supporting files (figures, bibliography, etc.).
  3. Reference Style: Citations and references should follow the IEEE format, as outlined in the template.
  4. Figures & Tables: Ensure all figures and tables are properly labeled and positioned within the text.
  5. Equations & Symbols: Use standard LaTeX commands for mathematical expressions.

Ethical Considerations

The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure integrity in research publishing. Authors must:

  • Confirm that the submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • Properly acknowledge all sources and contributions.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects.
