The Use of load speakers in Pakistan, an analytical study in perspective of noise pollution.
Abstract
Every Muslim says five-time prayer in a day. The prayer can be said in home, but Islamic teachings focus the Muslims to say prayer in mosque with Jamaat. For jamaat prayer it should be Azan and Eqama. Nowadays Azan done by load speakers, and there are many mosques in one street, so when the Azan start in every mosque the atmosphere will become strange. Beside the Azan there are also many uses of loudspeakers in Pakistani community such as Spiritual Gatherings like Mahafils and Bayanat, Political Gatherings, Night Shows, for Advertisements, Special Events and so on. In this paper, an attempt will be made to examine the various aspects of noise pollution in the light of Pakistani society.
