Invitation Towards The Path Of Allah; Its Elements And Shari Status In The Light Of The Prophetic Teachings: An Analytical Study
Abstract
Being the caliph of Muhammad (S.A.W), it is ordained upon every Muslim to be committed to the preaching of Islam. Islam is a natural religion, to preach the true religion, it appeals to one's heart. If a person is serious to realize, he is sure to surrender before this truth. If he does not accept Islam, then again he becomes soft hearted in case of Dawah for they think that such truthful people should be supported on moral and humanitarian ground. It will show the success of Dawah if invitee is inclined to him in one way or other. Keeping in view the findings stated above, it is obvious that Dawah means preaching to Islam, that is to say, bringing people on the right path in the way of Muhammad (S.A.W) (i.e.) dawah means to present the teachings of Islam in such a well organized and dignified way that the addressee may accept it easily realizing that it is an honor for him. It will also be praiseworthy to mention a fact here that no other religion…revealed or unrevealed…can claim such a wonderful example of the principles and methodology of Dawah. In this study two elements of Dawah and its shar'i status were focused. The methodology was both quantitative and qualitative. The perception of Da-ee's moral, character, interest and invitees responses was evaluated, Quranic verses, Ahadith Nabavi (S.A.W) was consulted. The result shows that Dawa is but a natural phenomenon, which does influence invitees. The effect was great, where there the Da-ee was sincere, a role model, hardworking, authorized and the dawah was authentic. Maximum people responded positively.
