Professional knowledge is considered an important component for school teachers because it provides knowledge about different aspects of actual classroom teaching practices and enables them to handle classroom practice problems. B.Ed (Hons.) program contributes a lot to providing professional knowledge to teachers because it provides in-depth knowledge of classroom teaching aspects in four years duration. So the study aims to highlight the importance of the B.Ed (Hons.) program for enriching the professional knowledge of those teachers who are recruited as elementary school teachers based on this degree. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the in-service school teachers' opinions about the effective role of the B.Ed (Hons.) program in enhancing their professional knowledge. The Positivism paradigm of research was employed in this study and the research method was a quantitative method. The population of the study was comprised of all those in-service school teachers who were recruited based on B.Ed (Hons.) degree. The sample of the study was selected by using the purposive method of sampling and the sample was comprised of 110 in-service school teachers in the Lahore district. The professional knowledge of school teachers was evaluated by administering the self-developed questionnaire. Indicators of a questionnaire that measure the level of professional knowledge through questionnaire were comprised of subject-matter knowledge, pedagogy, use of a.v.aids, classroom management, and assessment. Collected data were analyzed by using mean and standard deviation. The findings of the study provided a clear picture of the professional knowledge of school teachers. So this study also implies that efforts should be made to further enhance the professional knowledge of school teachers
