Stability analysis of a general SIR epidemic model
A proper structure of mathematical model is required to
understand the large size dynamics of the spread of an infectious disease. In this paper, we discuss a general SIR epidemic model which represents the direct transmission of infectious disease. The reproduction number R0 is determined and the local and global stabilities of both the disease-free and the endemic equilibrium are derived
